The Week In Review

Well, it's been a very busy week...so let's start off with this past Tuesday. I had to follow up with a hip specialist because the accident in July has really aggravated my left hip. This was a preexisting injury, but since I fractured my right foot...the couple months of 100% weight baring on the left leg (I was on crutches) really had an impact on that hip. The doctor at University Orthopedics just confirmed my suspicions, and he suggested I follow up with a X-Ray guided steroid injection in my hip. So that is the fun I get to look forward to on Monday morning. I'm not really excited about this procedure, but because of my reduced range of motion and pain that is about my only option. I would have to say I'm a little young for a hip replacement and my Doctor agrees.

Wednesday I had an opportunity to teach Turbo Kick to the Canandaigua middle school students. Or at least 4 groups of them. They had a health and fitness day and my wife signed me up to teach kick boxing. It was pretty fun because I got to bring my favorite format to people who have never seen it before. I think it went rather well, considering these kids have never participated in any kind of aerobics format before. I broke things down quite a bit for them, and most of the kids picked it up pretty quickly! The only down side is I basically taught 4 speed rounds prior to teaching my normal Wednesday night class. I was really tired by the time that rolled around, but the adrenalin must of kept me going because we rocked Round 29's final appearance with 3 Turbos!

Than there was Thursday...I don't know if it was Wednesday catching up with me, but I was down right exhausted. As a matter of fact I was in bed at 5:30 with a 102 degree fever and signs of a stomach bug. Luckily it was only a 24 hour thing and I was feeling much better by Friday.

So here we are looking for our next Turbo muse, and I think I'm going to rewind it to our Round 29 predecessor, Round 20. I am planning on working on it again on Monday and bringing it back for one more week of fun on Monday.

PS....Keep your fingers crossed for us...we are supposed to be closing on our new house Friday the 30th!!!
