It's Coming Back

Well I'm happy to report that things are progressing quite well these days. It's great to be back in the gym and working with the members. I think last night was a bit of a turning point because my ankle was really starting to feel alot more stable. Needless to say I probably have a couple of months of work before I'm really back to my old-self, but things are looking promising.

It was also great to see some familiar faces yesterday. I appreciate everyone being very patient with me during this time. And I hope you got a chance to enjoy some great classes from Lynn and Lymaris while I was gone. I've known Lynn since she started teaching Turbo back in the day. She gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to pursue Turbo Kick instead of the usual cardio kick. FYI: She teaches Saturday mornings at the Greece Ridge Co-ed club. Do a double and try PiYo at 9:00am than Turbo at 10:00am with her! I will probably be stopping in occasionally to take a class with her as well. I miss being able to take classes these days.

Other News:
Regarding the sentencing of the person who hit me. I was at the sentencing last Tuesday and had a chance to make my Victim's impact statement. The judge was very pleased that I decided to attend, and somewhat frustrated that his hands were tied by the deal the prosecution and defense made. He would have given a much harsher sentence if he realized the impact this situation has had on my life. That being said my comments and the judges comments are on the record in case something like this happens again. I'm hopeful what I said had some kind of impact on the person responsible. In the end the person was sentenced to 3 (Concurrent) 6 month terms in jail, 5 years probation, license suspension, court fees, and some fines.
